Dr. Kennedy on WSB Radio Talk Show April 10 at 3 PM

Dr. John Kennedy will be a guest on the weekly WSB radio talk show, “The Weekly Checkup” on Sunday, April 10 at 3 PM, hosted by Bruce Feinberg.  The topic will be screening mammography and other topics related to breast health. You can listen on the radio at FM 95.5, on AM 750, or listen on the Internet via live streaming. The United States Preventive and Screening Task Force (USPSTF) recently updated its recommendations regarding screening mammography, at what age to begin, and some recommendations regarding individualized options, as well as adjunctive screening studies. The American Cancer Society has likewise updated its recommendations. These topics and more will be discussed. It is gratifying to know that the mortality rate for breast cancer has gradually declined in the US over the past several years, however, it remains as the most common cancer among women other than skin cancer.
