General surgery, by its very nature, must deal with a variety of urgent or emergency situations, making it difficult to maintain a strict appointment schedule. If your appointment is delayed due to another patient’s emergency, we will do our utmost to minimize any inconvenience to you.
Billing, Insurance, and Fees
Payment for office visits and services is expected at the time of your visit unless your insurance plan contracts otherwise. We will be happy to discuss any questions you may have regarding our fees. Please don’t hesitate to ask us if you have any questions or concerns. If your insurance plan calls for a co-pay, it is expected at the time of your visit.
Your insurance company will be billed directly for surgical procedures, so payment from the insurance company may be made directly to us. This is known as accepting the assignment. In order for us to offer this service, we ask that you provide us with a copy of your insurance card on your first office visit. Also, it is necessary for you to keep us informed of any changes which may affect your insurance status.
Our practice participates in many managed care insurance plans. We are also a participating provider with Medicare and Medicaid. Please check with our office staff for details.
We can also accommodate patients who have no insurance. Payment is expected at the time of service.
You can reach the doctors at any time by calling the office at (404) 508-4320. Please limit after-hours calls to emergencies and post-operative difficulties. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency, you should immediately go to the nearest hospital emergency room or call 911.
